Milestones
Aurora Mobile was founded
Incorporated in 2011, Shenzhen Hexun Huagu Information Technology Co. Ltd. (Hexun Huagu) has a team with core members from Tencent, Morgan Stanley, Douban, Teradata, China Mobile, etc. Hexun Huagu is headquartered in Shenzhen, with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu.
2011JPush Officially Launched
Our core product JPush was officially launched, as the first of its kind in China that provides professional and efficient push notification services for app developers.
2012Started Exploring the Commercialization of SaaS Services
JPush enables app developers to have a highly stable and scalable cloud architecture that can considerably help them reduce development and maintenance costs and precisely reach target users in milliseconds.
2013Completed Series A funding round of USD4 million
We completed Series A funding of USD4 million with IDG Capital as the lead investor. This year, JPush's market share grew steadily. As at 2017, we had served more than 600,000 apps, covering over 10 billion mobile devices in total, with 750 million monthly active devices and over 3 billion daily push notifications.
2014Completed Series B funding round of over USD10 million
We completed Series B funding round of over USD10 million with Fosun RZ Capital as the lead investor and IDG Capital and Mandra Capital the co-investors. Having stood the test of billion-level push notifications, we rolled out our instant messaging service, JMessage, enabling developers to easily embed instant messaging functionality into their apps based on JPush. Based on our own technology and data analytics capabilities, we further expanded our business scope.
2015Completed Series C funding round
We upgraded our brand to "Aurora Mobile", completed Series C funding round of tens of millions of USD from Sealand Securities, TCL, Mandra Capital, Fosun, Sinar Mas Group, Hakim Unique, etc., and expanded our business scope to developer service, precision marketing, and data service.
2016Completed Series D funding round
We raised tens of millions of USD in Series D funding round from Fidelity International. At the same time, Targeted Marketing ("XiaoGuoTong"), our platform for data-driven advertising results, was officially released, and iZone, our location-based intelligence product was debuted later.
2017Aurora Mobile was listed on NASDAQ
On July 26, 2018, Aurora Mobile was listed on NASDAQ with the stock symbol JG, as it officially began a new chapter in big data deployment.
2018Started a strategic transformation
We set our strategic goal of developer-centric and comprehensive transformation to SaaS business: to empower developers by providing them with products, services and industry app solutions that can help enhance operational efficiency, user growth, and traffic monetization.
2019Upgraded corporate culture
We upgraded our corporate culture and debuted our products of version 2.0, including JUMS, JVaaS, JUnion, to help developers enhance operational efficiency, user growth, and traffic monetization.
2020Achieved the strategic goal of SaaS business transformation
We completed our SaaS business transformation to empower developers by providing them with products, services and industry app solutions that help enhance operational efficiency, user growth, and traffic monetization.
